On January 2, 1950, mission developer Homer Berner began visiting prospective members. The first worship service was held on January 29, 1950 with 42 worshippers present. The charter was opened on March 5 of that year with 50 members and closed June 3 with 93. On April 30, 112 members joined in the service of organization.
